Jennifer Morrison will be spending her hiatus off-Broadway this year, starring in The End of Longing, according to MCC Theater. The new play was written by Matthew Perry and will mark both his Broadway playwriting and acting debut, as he will co-star in the play.
The End of Longing, directed by Lindsay Posner, will be opening in New York following its hit run at London’s Playhouse Theatre last year. Performances in New York begin on May 18, 2017, ahead of a June 5 opening night at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
MCC Theater describes the play as ,”An alcoholic, an escort, a self-diagnosed neurotic and a well-intentioned dimwit walk into a bar… Broken and deeply flawed, they find their lives irreversibly entwined no matter how hard they try to break free of one another. The End of Longing is a bittersweet comedy that proves that broken people don’t need to stay broken.”
Jennifer Morrison recently launched her own production company, Apartment 3C Productions. She will also make her feature film directorial debut with the upcoming film Sun Dogs. Her previous directing efforts included the short film Warning Labels and four music videos for Wild Wild Horses, and English rock band.
Tickets are available now. Prices run from $30 to $89 per ticket.
