Tom Hiddleston Wins Best Actor at U.K. National Film Awards

Tom Hiddleston, High RiseTom Hiddleston won best actor at the U.K. National Film Awards for his role as Dr. Robert Laing in the upcoming film High-Rise, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The awards are voted on by the British film and television viewing public, and are comparable to a people’s choice version of the presitioug BAFTA Awards.

High-Rise is director Ben Wheatley’s adaptation of the J.G. Ballard novel set in a dystopian England of the late 1970s. Hiddleston has been experiencing a wave of popularity recently, after the success BBC spy drama The Night Manager, which has also featured nude scenes and sent Hiddleston to trending on Twitter on multiple occasions.
