Chuck – Season 4 – Episode 5
Chuck Versus the Couch Lock
The episode opens with a group doing something that looks possibly illegal, but then we see Casey is with them.
Important Moments/Plot Summary:
Casey being there doesn’t mean nothing illegal is going on, as one of the men, Packard, on Casey’s team points out that some of the gold would help them retire. The rest of his team turns on him, and then we are back in the Buy More. Casey was having a flashback.
Chuck is having no luck finding more information about his mother. Sarah then finds a photo of Casey’s old team, saying that they would have information on Volkoff. Chuck flashes and then sees that they used to work with Casey. Casey tells them that he had them court martialed and sent to Leavenworth, but they escaped.
Chuck suggests faking Casey’s death and staging a pretend funeral. Casey says they will come for his hand, as they need his fingerprints to get into the vault. They have all the details planned, so General Beckman approves the mission. That seemed almost too easy…
Then Beckman compliments Chuck on his ability to put Casey in harm’s way for the mission. She thinks it’s a compliment, but it makes Chuck worried that maybe the mission is too dangerous after all. Continue reading
Everyone’s favorite nerdy spy,
Chuck Zachary Levi, is returning to NBC for the relaunch of Heroes, the series that ran from 2006-2010. The reboot is set to run as a 13 episode miniseries that will be a sort of sequel to the original Heroes and will be titled Heroes: Reborn, according to TVLine.
“We are happy to announce this morning that Zac Levi is joining the cast along with Jack Coleman, which we announced a few months ago,” Robert Greenblatt, the president of NBC said in a press statement. “We’re still keeping Zac’s role under wraps because everything about this show is shrouded in secrecy. More names will be announced in the coming months.”
The only other detail about Levi’s role was that his character is “key”.
“One of my first, and fondest, memories of joining the NBC family in 2007 was having the pleasure of getting to know Tim Kring, and the cast of Heroes. I was a fan of their collective work and always thought it was such a fantastic and fun world they got to play in,” Zachary Levi said in a statement. “With Heroes: Reborn, I’m honored to have the opportunity to bring more of that world to life, and excited to help in offering the fans of the franchise an epic new installation of a series that made such a huge impact on entertainment.”
“There are a few franchises I’ve always wanted to be a part of, and Heroes is one of them,” Zachary Levi told TVLine. “Chuck gave me the opportunity to wield some fun powers, but an entire world with superpowers is a world I’ve always wanted to explore. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with Tim [Kring], and the awesome team around him, in bringing this to life. Moreover, to be working with NBC again is such a reward in itself, as my bonds and relationships there are deep.”
Season 3 – Episode 10 – Chuck Versus the Tic Tac
The episode starts with a flashback to Honduras in 1989, where Alex Coburn, whom we now know as John Casey, is offered a job with a covert black ops group.
Today, Casey is in his apartment and his old commander, the one who recruited him to the black ops group, wants him to “pick something up” while on a trace cell mission that he is about to get from General Beckman.
Morgan is acting like a weirdo and spying on Casey. Chuck comes out and they end up seeing Casey’s old commander leaving his apartment.
The team is assembled in Castle, where General Beckman gives them a trace cell mission, as predicted. Sarah informs Chuck (and us) that a trace cell mission means spy proofing domestic security. In this case, they will be breaking into an underground vault.
When they reach the vault, Casey gets whatever it was that he was asked to retrieve, without Chuck or Sarah knowing about it. Chuck asks him if he took something out of a box and Casey says no. Chuck thinks he’s working on a secret side mission and Casey threatens to kill Chuck if he tells anyone. Continue reading

Chuck Versus the Mask – Episode 7
This recap contains spoilers, for any new readers. The episode itself mostly involved setting up the plot-romance wise for the new few episodes, introducing new romantic partners for Chuck and Sarah.
The episode opens with Shaw breaking into a vault to steal a mask. A screw falls from the ceiling, Mission: Impossible style, only here he doesn’t catch it and the screw hits the floor, setting off the alarm. Shaw is trapped and gas starts filling the room. He calls Casey and asks for the Intersect, leading Sarah to show up at the Buy More, where she tells Chuck about the problem.
Chuck has to get into the museum’s server to open the vault for Shaw to get out. Sarah and Casey are trying to pry the door open while Chuck tries to get into the server. Suddenly, Hannah shows up in the room. Chuck just puts her to work helping him.
Meanwhile, it’s taking too long so Shaw tells them to blow up the hatch, a somewhat dangerous proposition that could gravely injure him, but his oxygen is getting dangerously low as well. Chuck hears them and yells don’t, creating a mildly embarrassing moment, but he’s able to reboot the system and open the door for Shaw to get out.
The museum curator then hires them to work the event that will host the unveiling of the mask of Alexander. Shaw informs Chuck that he and his new partner, Hannah, are going to help him steal the mask.
Shaw lays out the mission and it involves Shaw and Sarah going as guests with Chuck on the computer. Everyone but Shaw looks slightly taken aback by this plan.

Chuck Rewatch Recap Season 3 Episode 4
Chuck Versus Operation Awesome
The theme of this episode is fear of pulling the trigger, or fear of addressing and dealing with a situation directly, to put it in less obviously metaphorical terms, both literally, as in the case of Chuck, and figuratively, as in the case of Morgan, who is adjusting to his new role as assistant manager.
The episode picks up right where the previous one left off, with Awesome’s disappearance.
Awesome is tied to a chair on a rooftop. A Ring agent named Sydney is talking to him and is under the impression that he’s a CIA agent.
Back in Castle, Chuck is freaking out about Awesome’s disappearance. They figure out that Awesome’s last patient was a Ring operative. At that moment, Sarah sees Awesome walk into the Buy More. Chuck hugs him, very relieved that he’s okay, when Awesome tells Chuck that the Ring thinks he’s a spy.
They are all having a meeting with General Beckman back at Castle. They learn that Awesome’s kidnapper is Sydney Prince, a Los Angeles Ring operative. She gave Awesome a Ring communication device and said she would be in touch. Chuck wants to take Awesome home, but General Beckman wants to use him. Chuck and Awesome both start freaking out, but even Sarah agrees it’s the best way to keep him safe. Awesome says he trusts Chuck if he says he can get him through it.
