Matt Bomer to Star In ‘The Nice Guys’ With Ryan Gosling & Russell Crowe

Matt Bomer, White CollarMatt Bomer has signed on to star in The Nice Guys with Ryan Gosling, Russell Crowe and Margaret Qually (The Leftovers) according to Deadline. The film is an action drama written and directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3) and produced by Joel Silver.

The film takes place in 1970’s Los Angeles. Gosling will play a detective hired by a gangster, played by Crowe, to find a missing girl. During the search, Gosling uncovers a conspiracy, which is where Bomer’s character will come into play. Qually will play the daughter of a corrupt chief justice. It has the description of a film noir.

Bomer has recently wrapped the final season on his hit series White Collar, which will air on USA beginning on November 6. He is currently filming Magic Mike XXL in Savannah.

In addition to White Collar, Bomer recently received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Felix Turner in the award winning HBO movie The Normal Heart written by Larry Kramer. He is also in talks to play Montgomery Clift in a biopic of the actors life, though he has said he is only interested in the project if it is done with the correct creative vision.

The Nice Guys is set for release in Summer 2016.

White Collar – Season 1 – Episode 1 – Pilot

This is a rewatch so it may contain SPOILERS for any part of the series.


The pilot opens with a close up of Neal trimming his facial hair and then shaving. Neal then just walks out of the prison dressed in a guard’s uniform. He then hotwires a truck, buys a yellow valet jacket and gets a convertible from the airport. He then drives across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan in the scene that becomes part of the opening credits.
